Ilona Orbók

Ilona Orbók is a Tax Partner, and one of the Managing Directors at BDO Hungary. She has more than 15 years of experience advising multinational corporations, family-owned businesses, and start-ups, as well as leading complex global tax engagements. Her main area of expertise is international tax planning, with a particular focus on transfer pricing and the structuring of intra-group transactions. In addition to advising luxury industry clients, she has extensive experience in financial reorganizations and has led several large-scale analytics transformation projects.

She is frequently interviewed by national and international media on topics related to the luxury industry, retail trends, and consumer behavior, including Forbes, Brain Bar, Portfolio, and ATV. She is a co-host of the Hype Luxury podcast by Portfolio, moderates industry webinars, and regularly speaks at international conferences.

Ilona Orbók is a member of the Tax Authority’s professional transfer pricing roundtable and BDO’s international expert network, the Transfer Pricing Center of Excellence.

She is also widely known for her role as an investor on the Hungarian version of the business television show Shark Tank on RTL. She is a frequent guest on business television and radio programs and regularly publishes analytical articles in leading national newspapers.

Beyond her professional work, Ilona is actively involved in developing philanthropic initiatives supporting the arts, sports, and entrepreneurship.
