As we reported in our previous newsletter, the carbon intensity offsetting mechanism for imported goods has been launched from October 2023. The deadline for the first data submission was 31 January 2024, but importer can request a 30-day postponement of the first reporting deadline!
During the extended period, no sanctions will be applied by the National Authority to importers concerned who duly notify the delay.
