Economx Business Talks

The Economx Business Talks 2024 - a business conference addressing issues related to the development and growth of domestic businesses and the day-to-day life of companies. This year, the conference will focus on access to EU funding, the conditions for successful tenders and generational change. Speakers include a number of local professionals, success stories and investors.

The conference, organised in partnership with IndaMedia and Economx's strategic partner BDO Corporate Finance, aims to ensure that business leaders leave the day with practical knowledge and the feeling that the presentations have helped them to make better, faster and more effective decisions in their everyday business life. BDO Hungary's Corporate Finance division, as a professional partner of Economx, organised a major financial conference called "Business Talks24" on 15 April at the Hungarian House of Music. The event was attended by more than 400 participants, with nearly 50 national and international speakers offering their expertise to make the conference a diverse experience.


At the conference, Zoltán Boldis and Zsolt Szabó, directors of BDO Hungary's Corporate Finance business unit, said in their presentation "Preparing companies for the next generation" that planning and strategy-making are essential for the generation change, and that it is also important to be aware that this process can take 1-5 years.

In a roundtable discussion on the financing background of generational change, led by Róbert Tárnok, Director of BDO Hungary's Corporate Finance business, and Péter Oszkó, Founder and CEO of OXO Technologies Holding Plc, they explored the factors for successful generational change.

László Babicz, Director of Corporate Finance at BDO Hungary, participated in a roundtable discussion on Energy Vision, while Csaba Hallgató, Corporate Client Manager at BDO Hungary, led a discussion on Corporate Exit.

In addition, Ilona Orbók, Managing Partner of our firm, gave a presentation on the market situation for laboratory diamonds and the crisis resilience of the luxury segment.
